The Danish Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, in collaboration with the Danish-Chinese Business Forum, is excited to offer our members this exclusive Masterclass on "Negotiating International Agreements" with Tim Cullen.

You are invited to join this exclusive masterclass with Tim Cullen, creator of the Oxford Programme on Negotiation at the University of Oxford. Previously, Mr. Cullen has been employed by Ford Motor Company, Continental Bank and the World Bank, where he worked for 21 years as Director of Information and Chief Spokesman.

In the world of international business, negotiation is an essential ingredient in getting things done. Sometimes we may be conducting big, complex negotiations such as mergers and acquisitions, while on a day-to-day basis it underlies all business-to-business transactions. Internally, companies negotiate budgets, HR issues and the best policy strategies.

Most business people negotiate reasonably well. But they generally don't fully comprehend the psychological underpinnings of negotiation and how to use this knowledge to get the best results - not only to meet their own objectives, but also the achieve outcomes that will satisfy their counterparts.

An enhanced understanding of the culture and the drivers behind a counterpart's actions are strategies is critically important when negotiating with Chinese business and government entities.

This masterclass has been designed to take participants beyond what they do instinctively, and give them the concepts, tools, and techniques to plan and conduct much more successful negotiations, whether in Denmark or in China.

The masterclass is an evening seminar hosted by the Danish Chamber of Commerce on Monday 29 April 18.00 – 21.00 at Z-Space, 40 Xiezuo Hutong, Dongcheng District. Membership price is 500rmb, drinks and a light dinner is included.
